A Neighborhood Children's Ministry
The Vision

After years of working with women in crisis pregnancies, the staff at the Living Vine has become painfully aware that for most of our residents the pregnancy is not the problem, but merely one symptom birthed out of a history of hurt and anguish. We are repeatedly distraught over the heartbreaking stories of abuse and neglect endured by these women as children. One can see a pattern of behavior emerge after their souls have been shattered. We can not help but question why no one was there to stop it. And even more poignantly, what would have happened if someone had stepped in before the abuse began? Would they make the same choices if they were whole? Our hearts’ desire is to reach them before they make decisions that permanently alter their lives.

We are pleased to announce that The Living Vine now not only ministers to women in crisis pregnancies but also to children in Savannah neighborhoods as well. Our vision is to reach "at risk" children with the gospel early in life, so that they do not find themselves in "crisis" situations as teens and young adults. We quickly found that a number of local churches have greatly desired to reach out to these children living within their geographical communities but seldom have the training to cross over cultural barriers. The Bona Bella Bear Club has been created as a model of ministry to provide a safe and exciting place for this generation of children to experience God’s love.
