1. God loves me. - John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
2. I have sinned. - Romans 3:23 "For ALL have sinned (done, said or thought wrong things) and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:10-12 "As it is written, there is none righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, there is none who seeks for God. All have turned away and have become corrupt; there is none who does good; there is not even one." Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death..."
3. Jesus died for me. - Jesus Christ as a man who lived in Israel 2,000 years ago. He was actually God in human form. He was the only perfect person who ever lived. He sacrificed his perfect life by dying on a cross, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap between sinful people and a Holy God. He arose from the dead and now reigns with God as Lord of the universe.
   Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrated His love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
   1 Peter 3:18a "For Christ also has suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.
   2 Timothy 2:5 "God is on one side, and all the people on the other side, and Christ Jesus, Himself man, is between them to bring them together.
4. I need to confess and repent of my sins (turn away from them) and live my life for God. Romans 10:9, 10 "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
   

If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord, say a prayer to him in your own words something like this:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins and become a new person. I now invite you to come into my heart and life. I trust in you as my Savior, and I will follow you as my Lord. Amen.

If you have just said that prayer in faith, your next step is to tell someone about it. Talk to God everyday and read the Bible. Find a church that worships the One True God, and show others what Christ has done for you.
