Women of Excellence

The Living Vine is designed to be a sabbatical for expectant mothers. Believing that these women and their unborn children have been created for a special purpose in the Kingdom of God, our program is orchestrated so residents can focus on their relationship with Christ, while sequestered from the world. 

Desiring that each woman come to a true understanding of God’s love and His plan, our biblically based program provides the opportunity for each resident to evaluate her life, her belief system, and her decision making, while developing godly disciplines in order to prepare for her future success. 

The Women of Excellence Program has three tracks of course work: Home school, GED preparation, and Job-training. They were developed to meet the needs of our residents. Each operates on a point system, which is designed to promote and reward achievement. Upon entering the vine, new residents are interviewed and placed on the track best suited to their individual situation. All three tracks consist of approximately 40 hours per week of participation and coursework. Our primary focus is Spiritual Growth and Education which comprises 15 hours per week of coursework. Additional classes include parenting skills, childbirth education, nutrition, life skills instruction, job preparation, sewing and knitting class, and exercise.
